A edição é a mais importante do ano e trará 15 mulheres poderosas como capa
 

A duquesa de Sussex é a nova editora convidada da revista Vogue britânica. Meghan é a primeira convidada para a edição do mês de setembro, em específico, que é a mais importante do ano. Além de todo o conteúdo voltado para causas sociais e pessoas que influenciam o mundo, a edição batizada de “Forces for Change” traz uma conversa franca entre Meghan Markle e a ex-primeira dama dos Estados Unidos, Michelle Obama.

A capa da publicação traz a foto de 15 mulheres mulheres poderosas e engajadas com assuntos referentes à diversidade, saúde mental, mudanças climáticas e direitos de voto. A publicação ainda contará com uma entrevista entre seu marido, o príncipe Harry, e a doutora Jane Goodall. A edição estará disponível nas bancas à partir do dia 2 de agosto.

Processo de criação

Em sua conta no Instagram “@sussexroyal”, a duquesa falou sobre a sua participação durante o processo de criação: “Os últimos sete meses foram um processo gratificante, curando e colaborando com Edward Enninful, editor-chefe da Vogue britânica, para pegar a edição mais lida do ano e focá-la nos valores, causas e pessoas que estão causando um impacto no mundo hoje”, revelou Meghan.

We are proud to announce that Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex is the Guest Editor for the September issue of @BritishVogue. For the past seven months, The Duchess has curated the content with British Vogue's Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful to create an issue that highlights the power of the collective. They have named the issue: “Forces for Change” For the cover, The Duchess chose a diverse selection of women from all walks of life, each driving impact and raising the bar for equality, kindness, justice and open mindedness. The sixteenth space on the cover, a mirror, was included so that when you hold the issue in your hands, you see yourself as part of this collective. Ela ainda acrescentou: “Através dessas lentes, eu espero que você sinta a força do coletivo, na diversa seleção de mulheres escolhidas para a capa, assim como no time de apoio que eu chamei nesta edição para ajudar a realizá-la”. A duquesa finalizou com uma mensagem aos leitores: “Espero que vocês se sintam inspirados como eu me sinto, pelas ‘forças pela mudança’ que irão encontrar nestas páginas”, disse.

To watch the full #ForcesForChange video for the September Issue of @BritishVogue, guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex, please visit our IGTV. Her Royal Highness is the first Guest Editor for British Vogue’s September Issue and for the last seven months has worked to create an issue of inclusivity and inspiration, focusing on what connects us rather than what divides us. Fifteen women were chosen for the cover including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who generously lent her time to support The Duchess in this important issue. The women first met last autumn during Their Royal Highness’ official tour of New Zealand. Above, PM Ardern says: “One change that I’ve noticed over the course of my career, is just how polarised the world is now. I do think there is a solution to that though, and that’s ultimately us coming back to the humanity that we all share." Thank you PM Ardern for being an amazing force for change. “Editar como convidada a edição de setembro da revista Vogue britânica foi educacional e inspirador. Mergulhar nesse processo, trabalhando discretamente nos bastidores por tantos meses, eu estou tão feliz de finalmente poder dividir o que nós criamos”, Meghan concluiu.

Antes de entrar para a realeza, Meghan editava o blog “The Tig”, onde compartilhava suas experiências em viagens e seu estilo de vida.
